Specialist Occupational Therapist / Sensory Integration Practitioner /SAI Practitioner

Senara Occupational Therapy Ltd, is an established therapy clinic in Penryn, Cornwall. We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time time position, but we would also consider part time hours for the right applicant.

We have ambitious plans to expand our sensory integration services for children in Cornwall. We are excited to offer a number of opportunities to provide a truly exceptional service.

As a sensory integration specialist, you will be assessing children with complex needs, these can include children with attention difficulties, motor coordination difficulties, behaviour and emotional regulation difficulties, those with ASD, ADHD and children with a trauma and attachment difficulties. We also work alongside mainstream and specialist schools, providing assessment and therapy services for children within these schools. You will apply you specialist knowledge and skills to assess and provide 1:1 treatment in clinic and or in the child's home/school.

 

Requirements

You will need to be a proactive, enthusiastic and resilient individual who is committed to the use of therapeutic and holistic skills. The successful candidate will; be a specialist in Sensory Integration (Modules 1-3); It would be desirable that the candidate has some Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI) training. It is essential that the candidate has a recognised diploma/degree in occupational therapy; be HCPC registered and adhere to the standards for registration to the Health and Care Professions Council; be a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. Experience in supporting young people with Autism and special school experience is desirable.

We would consider either self employed or employed contracts.

Senara News

Covid-19 Latest News:

Following the recent Government advice regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, Senara Occupational Therapy has temporarily suspended face-to-face consultations at our clinic rooms. 

Morwenna and Tamsin will continue to support families in these unprecedented times, through remote support such as telephone or video calls.

We would be happy to offer new clients an initial consultation via telephone call if required. Please drop us an email to let us know.

As soon as we have received notification that we can resume seeing you in person, we will be in touch.

We wish you all the best over the coming weeks and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.
